This
particular package already includes the Balinese
Blessing Ceremony so is ideal for those couples not
wishing to hold a legal wedding in Bali.
If you
do wish to be legally married the
Blessing
can be an additional ceremony performed after the
Christian and Legal ceremonies have taken place.
This
package includes the couple being invited to spend a
night in the Honeymoon Suite room especially
prepared by the Puri for such occasions. This
unique, simple accommodation has all modern
comforts, a lovely open-air, garden bathroom, good
sized terrace and quite spacious garden. Certainly
enough room for the bride & groom to be totally
relaxed whilst being a part of the Nobleman's family
for the night.
There
are approximately 150 local villagers involved in
the Moderate Royal Wedding Package.
Before
your ceremony is due to commence you will fussed
over whilst being dressed in Balinese Ceremonial
Costumes and makeup.
The
wedding pavilion will be prepared by the family in
traditional Royal Balinese style and including such
items as: very long tapered flags known as Umbul-Umbul, long carved leaf decorations known as
Penjor, ceremonial umbrellas, flowers, candles
etc. and the offerings required to partake of the
Balinese Blessing Ceremony will have be prepared by
the Puri family and village friends earlier in the
day.

A
ceremonial procession by many of the local villagers
with their various Balinese traditional percussion
instruments will start the proceedings by bringing
the bride & groom to the Puri wedding pavilion area.
A
welcome dance performed by little girls
from the
village will precede the ceremony itself and you
will then go through the steps of a traditional
blessing ceremony and celebration guided by the
officiant who is normally the Nobleman himself.
Such
a ceremony involves many detailed aspects and parts -
you will even experience a little Balinese humor
along the way! Many of the parts are too complex to
explain - they simply need to be experienced to be
appreciated and understood!
Any
humor in your ceremony is not done just for you, but
is a genuinely endearing tradition and practice
within the Balinese
culture.
At the conclusion of
your Blessing
Ceremony you will be
entertained by
another traditional
dance performance
with the dancers
accompanied by a
Balinese Orchestra
known as Gamelan
before being invited
to sit, relax and
enjoy your private
meal service. |
